Critical Outcast isn't my first attempt at a website, I had a few stutter steps in the late 1990's and early 2000's. These attempts generated a whole bunch of poorly written, often very short and spoilerific reviews. I recently stumbled upon them in my archives and thought you may be interested in seeing some of these early attempts at writing. They are as they were then, I make no apologies for how bad or how short they are. Feel free to have at them with reckless abandon! I present to you: Reviews in Retrograde.
Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy
In Egypt Peter and Freddie find the archaeologist Dr. Zoomer murdered before they can return to America. A medallion leads them to a crypt where a revived mummy provides the terror.
Abbott and Costello, back in action. This time they are up against a mummy's curse. Not as good as the time they met Frankenstein, but still funny. It does have the classic "which pick is your pick" sequence.
This time they end up taking pictures of a dead guy while trying to unload a mysterious medallion, which is the key to the mummy's curse. It seems like everyone is after them, and of course they have no idea.
Again not as funny as some previous outings, but still funny enough to compete with most of today's comedy offerings.
